My Story
Paul Smith lives in upstate New York with his wife and two sons, where he works at a large human services organization. He earned a master’s degree in social sciences from Binghamton University in 1999.
A lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy, and superhero stories influences Paul’s writing. His largest online project was a popular weekly online series that generated over 20,000 views. The Jason and the Draconauts series is his first major work, and he has also published a series of adventures for 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons.
The Jason and the Draconauts series started as a completely self-published project. All the books were funded with successful Kickstarters. The funds raised were primarily used to hire professional editing services, but also to purchase other publishing necessities like ISBN numbers and marketing.
In May of 2024, the first book was picked up by Pen It publications. A second edition with a brand new cover was released, but unfortunately, Pen It Publications went out of business at the end of 2024. However, the response to the new cover was so wonderful, that all the covers will eventually be reworked

This was a great story! Good pacing & length, clever plot, and interesting characters. I also loved the way it was a new and different take on dragon mythology. Who knew that dragons interacting with the modern world could be so fun? :) As an avid reader of dragon-centered books, I'd say this one would be very high on my YA dragon fantasy recommendation list.
